Supporting Children Young People and Families

Providing a range of services to help you deliver the highest quality care to Children, Young People and Families.

Training for Health, Education and Social Care Staff

I believe better trained staff deliver higher-quality services.
I've developed a range of expertly curated courses to enhance the knowledge, skills and confidence of the children and families workforce. Delivered by an experienced CAMHS practitioner, training is always face-to-face and in-depth. Places are available on multi-agency training for individual practitioners, or training can be brought 'in-house' and delivered to your team or service.

Leading Change: Support to Leaders

Lending my experience of transforming and improving services to system leaders, providing confidential and bespoke consultation and coaching to teams and individuals. A wide range of resources and information to enable local leaders to evaluate their own services, increasing their awareness of the strengths and challenges they have, and practical advice on how to start making strategic improvements.

Advocacy and Raising Awareness

Providing briefings and communication to advocate for the Children and Families workforce  and speaking up about Children's Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing.
Proud to be a member of the Children and Young People's Mental Health Coalition to have a stronger more unified voice.

Why SCYPF?

There are some truly excellent organisations doing important work to support children and young people’s wellbeing, for example, the Sleep Well Academy (by the Sleep Charity) delivers high-quality, evidence-based training for professionals around sleep. However, with the growing awareness and demand around children’s mental health, we’re also seeing a rise in services that don’t always meet the same standards. Some are well-intentioned but lack the necessary expertise or experience, while others may be capitalising on the topic without delivering real value. That’s why I believe it’s important to be transparent about what I offer and how it compares to some other providers.

*there are some benefits to online training (in terms of accessibility), however I believe that to provide in-depth training, human connection is important especially for supporting the Children and Families Workforce learn about topics like Mental Health, Abuse and Trauma.

It goes without saying...
But I'll say it anyway

Children, Young People and Families deserve timely access to help and support to meet their needs.

People who choose to spend their time and energy supporting Children and Families are incredible people who want to make a difference.

There are big demands on those services and real pressure on those people trying to help.

We should give those people as much training, and support as we can.

You don't know what you don't know. There are no silly questions, and I won't judge.
